Description
A pregnant woman was suffering from swollen limbs and urinary tract blockage when she was taken to the plantation hospital. There was no doctor at the hospital, so she was referred to the Dhekiajuli CHC. At the CHC, her pressure was diagnosed as high and she was further referred to the Tezpur Medical College and Hospital, where she was admitted for 3 days. She was not able to urinate and the health staff delayed her treatment. Her husband had to buy surgical materials like hand gloves, gauge, syringes, etc, for her C-section. On the 3rd day, she had a cesarean delivery of a baby boy, but an hour after the surgery, she passed away due to some medical complications. The baby is in good health. The woman had also not received her Mamoni cash entitlements during her pregnancy.
